He asserted that the evidence against Ernesto Ruffo, former governor of Baja California, is conclusive, coming from various institutions. "The PAN party, with its first governor, Ernesto Ruffo, became the party of tax evasion," Ávila accused following the former governor's arrest. "Without a doubt, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) can be trusted," he affirmed, adding that all the institutions involved in the investigation leading to Ruffo's arrest can be trusted. "Those involved in tax evasion turned out to be members of the PAN party," he asserted, adding that the opposition is furious because their narratives against the government "are falling apart."
