Homilía 8.6.2026 / Lunes de la 10ª semana del Tiempo Ordinario
A reading from the First Book of Kings (17:1-6): In those days, Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.” The word of the Lord came to him: “Go east from here and hide yourself by the Kerith Ravine, which flows into the Jordan. Drink from the brook, and I will command the ravens to bring you food there.” Elijah did as the Lord had commanded him and went to live by the Kerith Ravine, which flows into the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread in the morning and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook. The word of the Lord. Psalm Psalm 120 R/. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. R/. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. R/. The Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. R/. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. R/. Gospel A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (5:1-12): At that time, when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, sat down, and his disciples came to him; And he began to speak, teaching them: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” The Word of the Lord
