On the #volcano Mount #etna in Sicily with our Tesla Y #tesla #europe #travel #teslaroadtrip Today we want to go to Mount Etna volcano. There are two sides to best experience Mount Etna. From the south or from the north-east. We chose the lesser visited north-east side. And so we leave the coast towards Piano Provenzana. The road leads uphill through old lava flows. Tesla Y road trip as it`s best. And here it is, the ash-spitting volcano Mount Etna. We have to stop first to see the old lava fields up close. We are really lucky that the volcano is currently active and spewing lava and ash. We want to hike through the lava fields and start directly from the parking lot. The path leads through the lava field of 2002 past a hotel buried by the lava masses. Only rubble and a roof can be seen. The higher we get the better we can hear the rumble and thunder of Mount Etna. And from Monte Nero we can see the ash-spitting crater. Really impressive. The next morning our path leads further south. We want to charge at the only Tesla Supercharger in all of Sicily. In Catania! The Tesla Supercharger station in Catania is located directly in the parking lot of a shopping center. How convenient. Tesla charging in Sicily can be so easy and TeslaY road trips are a lot of fun.
