Day 48 - From Robert to William - A Road Trip around the coast of Britain - Newburgh to Stirling

Over a seven week period during 2025, I drove around the whole of the coastline of Britain. I began at the statue of Robert The Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn visitor centre, and ended a few miles away at the statue of William Wallace in Stirling city centre. A journey of 5,570 miles. I spent a total of £523 on fuel, which worked out around 65 mpg from my Renault Clio Hybrid. I spent a total of £2,526 on 47 nights accommodation, 14 nights of which were camping. Prices ranged from £14 for camping in Shieldaig to £115 at The Portland Hotel in Lybster. I also spent a feckin' fortune on entry to castles etc. Next time, I will buy an Historic Scotland membership beforehand.
