Be in Command of Your VOICE and Speak Like a Leader!

When you want to speak like a leader, you need to be in command of our voice. This means that you need to speak with confidence and authority while you freely express your thoughts, ideas and opinions. Being in command of your voice is about saying what you think and speaking your mind regardless of whether others will agree with you or not. For many people, we censor our own speech so that we "fit it" or we don't "rock the boat". We suppress our thoughts, opinions and ideas because we're scared others won't agree with us. But when you do this, you're not being in command of your voice. And you're certainly not speaking like a leader. Think about it. Leaders are hired for their unique perspectives or innovative ideas. If you're not in command of your voice, if you suppress your thoughts and ideas in meetings, you'll look exactly like everyone else. You won't stand out as an independent thinker. You won't stand out as someone with leadership potential.
