Our Scottish Wedding Day
In early June of the year 2026, Carol and her life companion, Jayne, set off to Scotland to get married, in the beautiful port town of Oban in the Scottish Highlands. The venue was perfect, made beautiful by the Assistant Registrar, Catherine Dods, who led the ceremony, witnessed by Alice and Cerri. Carol stood opposite Jayne and both of them repeated their wedding vows, written specially for the occasion by Jayne, taking inspiration from their love of Star Wars. Catherine was wonderful, she made the day feel so special for our brides, at one point making both brides cry and even the witnesses shed a tear, with the gentle and kind delivery of the service. Alice took many photos, some of which have been included in this film. With the ceremony complete, our brides had their first kiss before they signed the register. After which, it was witnessed and signed by both Alice and Cerri. It was a perfect day, filled with love and hope. After the ceremony, our brides and their witnesses made their way to the fabulous Racer Cafe, where the staff graciously gifted the girls a cake each to celebrate their wedding. On the way back to the Beautiful Laich cottage, in Appin, the brides stopped off for photos at Castle Stalker, better known to Monty Python fans as Castle Aghhhhhhh! With a busy day done and a lightsabre fight between a Mandalorian Princess and Sith Acolyte, the brides retired to the hot tub, under the beautiful Scottish sky. Carol and Jayne would like to offer their eternal gratitude to our Registrar, Catherine and to the witnesses, Alice and Cerri for making the wedding so wonderful. A note of thanks should also go to George Lucas who gave us Star Wars in the first place. Jayne would like to thank Carol and Alice for filming and photographing the trip, which meant more to her than she had the words to express. Music is from Youtube Studio's royalty free collection.
