Euro-Mir Recreation - K'nex Roller Coaster with POV

Here is my recreation of Euro-Mir from Europa-Park. It's a mythical rollercoaster of this Park, whether because of it's style, or theme song. Europa-Park is special for me. In fact, I'm lucky to live less than 30 minutes by car, so I've been going there every year since I was a kid. That's why I really wanted to reproduce a rollercoaster from this park, which brings back so many memories. Moreover, I wanted to challenge myself with a special construction. With Euro-Mir, I had to build a spiral lift, and cover the towers with metal to reproduce the famous mirror towers. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to film the construction of the towers, but I swear that they gave me a very hard time. This is also the first time that I used 3D printed car and ceramic bearings. I have to say you that these new bearings are CRAZY. I feel like I can build whatever I want, and that I will never be bothered by the loss of car speed. It's so satisfying ! With Euro-Mir, I also wanted to reproduce the spinning cars. So I 3D printed the same car as the original rollercoaster. I struggled a bit to find the good spinning system. But now, they work perfectly. Surely in the future, I would reuse the 3D printer. Speaking of the future, I don't know what I'm going to build. I know that the recreation of rollercoaster will make you more happy, because they bring back memories, or simply because they are rollercoaster that you love to see. But I kind of want to invent my own rollercoaster, to build what my imagination tells me. I still remember when I was kid and going to school, I would draw random roller coaster lines on a sheet of paper, telling myself that I would do them when I got home. In either case, I don't know what types of rollercoaster to build. But in any case don't worry, my passion for rollercoasters as great as ever, and I will be back again for new K'nex projects.
