A True Dream Trip. The boat crossing between Florianópolis and Angra dos Reis. Four episodes about the journey of a 44-foot trawler with Volvo Penta engines. Eduardo Wieser (the captain of the crossing and mastermind behind the trip) and Elinton Biron, a marine engine specialist, aboard a 44-foot trawler equipped with two 300 hp Volvo Penta D4 engines, sailed from Florianópolis to Angra dos Reis and returned overjoyed. In total, it was a 20-day crossing, an expedition of almost 1000 miles. And all this for the simple pleasure of taking a motor cruise, along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Brazilian coast, proving that it is possible to travel by motorboat in Brazil. “The trip was inspired by the Angra Guide, published by Náutica. It took months of planning, marking all the points on paper nautical charts, from refueling stations to overnight stops on board, which were then transferred to the GPS,” says the boat's captain, Eduardo Wieser.
