Clinical Research and Statistics - Different Types Of Research Study Structures
WhiteBoard style discussion on the different methodologies and structures of research studies and how that relates to the quality of the study. It is fantastic that so many people are becoming more interested in scientific and medical research. People are wanting to get their information from the source studies that focused on the question being asked rather than the media/news. To do this though, it is incredibly important to understand how a study is structured and how that translates to the quality of the study. The next step digesting the conclusion of the study is figuring out how strong of a conclusion it is based on the caliber of the study itself. We will discuss the "Pyramid Of Quality" and explain meta-analysis, systematic reviews, randomized control trials, cohort studies, and case control series.
