Day 3 in Taiwan: DIY! Qingtiangang Grasslands, Beitou Hot Spring, Thermal Valley, Sihai Soy Milk 🇹🇼

Welcome to Day 3 of our Taiwan DIY travel series! We start our morning bright and early with an authentic, comforting Taiwanese breakfast at Sihai Soy Milk (四海豆漿大王) near Zhongshan/Taipei Main Station. From breakfast, we walk straight to Zhongshan Station, hop on the MRT Red Line to Jiantan Station, and catch the S15 minibus up into the breathtaking heights of Yangmingshan National Park. Our destination? The stunning Qingtiangang Grasslands (擎天崗)! We walk along the misty mountain trails to spot real wild water buffaloes grazing on the volcanic plateau. Instead of backtracking down the mountain, we show you an amazing commuter transit hack: taking the 108 Loop Bus to the Yangmingshan Terminal and transferring directly to Bus 230. This takes us down the opposite side of the mountain straight into the hot spring town of Xinbeitou! We spend the afternoon strolling through the parks and witnessing the mystical, sulfur-scented turquoise waters of Thermal Valley (Hell Valley).
