Alexandra Road South, Whalley Range, Manchester M16 area… But sadly the total destruction of our local shops and houses to make way for the next Millenium. 11, Alexandra Rd South still standing today where we lived. The shops and park bring back slightly sad melancholy thoughts tinged with excitement of quite magical times past. The Park in winter with the ducks skating across. The corner veg shop with the never ending suspended running tap gag! 🚰 who remembers that !... Feeling excited going shopping and Kentons supermarket later to become the first Tesco on Alec’ Rd. The double decker bus accident with the lady sadly getting fatally hurt on the corner of Alec’ Rd and Manley Rd. Hearing the dockyard ships horns go off to see in the New Year! and the biG snow in the early 60’s winters ❄️ 👏🏼😌
