A Gentle Day in My Life as a Full-Time Creator | Self-Employed & Finding Balance
In today’s video, I’m taking you through one of my gentler, office-based days as a fully fledged YouTuber (goodness gracious, I can still hardly believe it), self-employed business owner, and budding children’s author. This video felt important to share because every single one of you has played a part in putting me in this position. From watching, commenting, sharing, joining as members, supporting this channel — you have quite utterly changed my life. Thank you feels far too small. Today’s vlog is a slower one. A realistic one. We’ll spend the morning: – Opening the windows (even in the cold) – Making the bed without fail – Putting together a vintage-inspired office outfit (with slippers, naturally) – Answering your lovely emails – Working on my first children’s book about Penny 🕊️ – Doing the not-so-glamorous accounts and admin – Editing upcoming videos – Taking treadmill steps at home – Recording voiceovers – And reflecting on burnout, balance, and building a life that doesn’t hold you hostage Becoming self-employed has been far more than just an announcement online. It’s been a journey through discipline, exhaustion, creativity, fear, gratitude, and ultimately — slowness. For a long time I struggled with work-life balance. Editing at 3am. Navigating HMRC. Juggling creative dreams alongside a full-time job. Feeling stretched far too thin. But now? I am learning how to structure my days with intention. To work hard, yes — but to stop working too. To look up at the drizzly British weather. To spend more time with my birds. To welcome slowness back onto centre stage. It’s not perfect. Some days are glorious, others are daunting. But life feels good. And I am so grateful to be here. Thank you for joining me in this new normal 🤍 ================================= If you'd like to support me further, then check out my membership website: www.realvintagedollshouse.com 🫖 ================================= 🔥 Stay Connected: Subscribe for more content: / @realvintagedollshouse Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/real_vintag...
