Fr. Slaeem Ordination Day Feb 7, 2025

With great joy and gratitude for the abundant blessings of the Lord that have overwhelmed our diocese during this blessed period, which witnessed the blessing of a new land, the sanctification of a new church in Sydney, and the sanctification of a new chapel in Melbourne, His Grace Mar Amel Nona, presided the priestly ordination ceremony of Father Saleem Musa Gago yesterday evening, Friday 7/2/2025, at Our Lady Guardian of Planets Church/ Melbourne. In an atmosphere that reflects the deep faith, gratitude, and sincere desire to serve the Church, His Grace offered his thanks to the new priest for his love and commitment, and steadfastness in his priestly vocation, extending great thanks to his family who supported him with love and pride to achieve the highest goal through the grace of the priesthood. During his homily, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of the quality of humility in the priest, which gives him joy in giving, serving, and sacrificing oneself. As we congratulate our Chaldean diocese through the person our Archbishop, Mar Amel Nona, we also congratulate the family of the new priest, praying that the Lord strengthen him and enlighten his steps within his new journey ببالغ الفرح و الامتنان لنِعم الرب الوافرة التي غمرت ابرشيتنا خلال هذه الفترة المباركة، والتي شهدت مباركة ارض جديدة ، وتقديس كنيسة جديدة في سدني، و كذلك تقديس كابيلا جديدة في مالبورن، ترأس سيادة راعي الابرشية مار اميل نونا مراسيم الرسامة الكهنوتية للاب سليم موسى كوكا مساء يوم الأمس الجمعة ٧/٢/٢٠٢٥ في كنيسة حافظة الزروع/ مالبورن. وسط اجواءٍ تعكس عمق الايمان، والشكر، والرغبة الصادقة لخدمة الكنيسة والكلمة، عبّر سيادة راعي الابرشية عن شكره لشخص الكاهن الجديد لما له من حب والتزام في الخدمة، وثبات في دعوته الكهنوتية، موجها الشكر الكبير لعائلته التي ساندته بحب وفخر لتحقق الغاية الأسمى من خلال نعمة الكهنوت. خلال كرازته، أكّد راعي الابرشية على اهمية صفة التواضع لدى الكاهن، التي تمنحه الفرح في العطاء والخدمة وبذل النفس. اذ نهنيء ابرشيتنا الكلدانية بشخص راعيها الجليل مار اميل نونا، نتقدم بالتهنئة ايضاً لعائلة الكاهن الجديد، طالبين له كل النعمة والقوة في مسيرته الجديدة.
