Interview with The Used - 'We’ve never been more in love with the music we make’

Every once in a while, I experience a ‘Pinch me’ moment as part of being a music journalist. Music that means so much to you, that is so powerful it transports you back in time, that makes you think of the first time you heard something that deeply touched you. The Used’s ‘Self-Titled’ and ‘In Love And Death’ were part of those fundamental handful of records that I played (not streamed!) to death (yes, on CD). I had the incredible opportunity to steal Robbie and Jepha from The Used for a guerrilla style interview at Slam Dunk South. As the band is currently playing shows across Europe before heading to Australia for their 25-anniversary tour, introspection, reflection and of course celebrations are in order. The band share the profound impact their shared experience has had on their lives and how important it is to stay in the moment.
