Warning: Flesh-eating bacteria found in northern waterways ahead of holiday weekend

The CDC is warning of flesh-eating bacteria, known as Vibrio, spreading where fresh and saltwater mix. Dr. Omer Awan tells “Morning in America” the bacteria can enter the body through an open cut or by eating raw or undercooked shellfish. He urges anyone who develops redness, swelling, or severe pain after exposure to seawater to seek medical care immediately.
