Bird of the Blizzard

“Cold has a memory, And its colour is blue” Julie's haunting lyrics were inspired by Robert Macfarlane's Snow Bunting poem and her home in the highlands of Scotland. We are so thrilled to have commissioned the incredible animator Marry Waterson to create a full length video for Bird of the Blizzard. Marry’s spellbinding, dark, filmic, and layered imagery resonates so beautifully with the song’s message, weaving the precarious icy world of the Snow Bunting into a poignant and beautiful evocation of the third single from Gifts of Light. Bird of the Blizzard track is released on 22 November 2023, the full video is released on 3 December 2023.
