Experience a one-of-a-kind musical journey with the Jean-Michel Pilc Trio.

Coming up on Saturday, June 20th at 9:30 pm at the Fort Garry Hotel, The TD Winnipeg International Jazz festival will present a pianist who is not only a virtuoso keyboard player but also completely fluent in the language of improvisation. Jean-Michel Pilc has established himself as a true visionary in music. Largely self-taught as a pianist Pilc has gone on to share the stage with some of Jazz’s biggest luminaries....Michael Brecker, Marcus Miller, Kenny Garret, Roy Haines, Harry Belefonte...and the list goes on and on. He has toured the world visiting more than 60 countries, and in the process has recorded numerous albums and gone on to teach at New York University, and is now a member of the Jazz Faculty at the Schulich School of Music at McGill. The concert on the 20th is a rare opportunity to hear a musician who does not only speak English and French fluently but also the language of music...it is an opportunity to hear a fully realized improvised conversation with Pilc and his trio-mates... Morgan Moore on Bass and Sam Joly on Drums. A conversation that will both thoroughly entertain and keep audiences wanting more. This is going to be a fabulous show.
