12 hours of uninterrupted rainforest ambience [no loop]

Listen to 12 hours of uninterrupted lush rainforest sounds that I've recorded on many expeditions over more than a decade. From Africa to Central and South America, and from Asia to Australia, calm your mind and get back to nature by immersing yourself in these timeless soundscapes. Jungles and rainforests are fascinating environments teeming with wildlife. Some of the highest biodiversity and endemism in the world can be found in rainforests. This is reflected very well in the soundscapes, which are breathtaking and incredibly evocative, full of little detail but reflecting large open spaces. I've spent more than a decade exploring a variety of rainforests on our planet so I could capture their sonic essence. Recording the pure sounds of nature can be a challenging and thankless job, since the sounds of humans permeate even in the remotest parts of our planet. I've often had to capture ambience for many days before I could find the best location where only the sounds of nature and wildlife were audible. In this long-form soundscape video I've put together some of my absolute favourites, mostly lush dawn choruses and beautiful jungle atmospheres. There is a lot of birdsong, quite a few insect sounds, occasional frog calls, a bit of rain, even some mammals singing (see if you can identify them). It's 12 hours of pure ambience, made by nature and recorded by a human - myself. Even the video is shot by myself, although that is a 2 minute loop since I am mostly a sound recordist and not a videographer.
