This is the 11th week in the ongoing crisis sparked by the government’s now-suspended extradition law amendment, which would have allowed the transfer of suspects from Hong Kong to mainland China. The day saw multiple protests across Hong Kong including this rally and march from To Kwa Wan to Hung Hom. Protesters deviated from the agreed route, with a large group of them ending up outside Mong Kok police station. A stand-off developed when protesters flashed officers with laser pointers and threw eggs. Eventually reinforcements arrived and chased the remaining protesters away.
