Back Way to Big Bear | Burns Canyon Trail

In today’s off-road adventure, we’re taking the back way to Big Bear via the scenic Burns Canyon Trail (2N02) — a historic route that winds through canyons, shelf roads, and mountain terrain deep in Southern California. We’ll begin in Rimrock near Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree, then climb from the desert into the pine forests of Big Bear while crossing through dramatically different landscapes along the way. Burns Canyon was once a prospector route used in the 1800s, and today it remains one of the most unique and scenic off-road trails in the area. The trail is considered mild difficulty, making it perfect for beginners and stock vehicles looking for a fun off-road experience without extreme obstacles. I’ll be driving my 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner equipped with Total Chaos long-travel suspension, exploring this hidden route into the mountains. 📍 Route: Rimrock → Burns Canyon Trail (2N02) → Big Bear Vehicle: 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner | Total Chaos Long Travel Terrain: Desert canyons, shelf roads, pine forests Channel: @all_thingsdavidstyle If you enjoy off-roading, scenic trail adventures, and hidden Southern California routes, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell for more trail content. #BurnsCanyon #BigBearOffRoad #JoshuaTree #4Runner #Toyota4Runner #4thGen4Runner #OffRoadAdventure #SoCalOffRoad #Overlanding #TrailRun #HiddenTrails #BackWayToBigBear #4x4Life #allthingsdavidstyle
