Out of Control Boogie Loop – Did I Crash Into a Boat? | Squamish 2024 Season Finale

Hey Kitehomiez! This was the final session of the Squamish 2024 season, and what a wild ride it was! There was an insane system rolling through the straits, with south winds howling through Boundary Bay, and the spit sensor was going nuts – we’re talking 57 knots early morning readings! 😱 The scene was set: waves crashing, wind howling, and Loren spotting a waterfall cloud over the mountain – a sure sign we were in for some madness. Jack, Wojtek, and Petra rolled up, amped for the SWS boat pickup. As we crossed over, the boat ride itself was an adventure, with me getting drenched sitting on the wrong side (thanks, Land, for the laughs! 😂). Once we hit the island, it was ON. Gusty, gnarly winds had us all crashing, but that just made the session more epic. People were sending massive megaloops – Loren, Ben, Axel, Dani, and Jack were all throwing down like beasts. The wind cranked up, the loops got crazier, and the carnage continued! Wes was on the fence about heading out into the madness, but I had to show him the epic chaos – after all, that’s what makes these sessions legendary, right? Now, let’s talk about my near-disaster moment: I sent a huge boogie loop, but the wind yanked me downwind – straight towards Tommy’s boat. Time froze as I flew helplessly through the air, praying I wouldn’t crash into the boat. Luckily, I dodged that bullet and splashed into the water just in time. Bula didn’t let me off easy though, calling me every kook name under the sun! 😅 This is what it’s all about – adrenaline, close calls, and the ultimate season send-off.
