New Zealand Rabbits: Selecting Show Prospects

After watching baby bunnies be born and then watching them grow day after day, week after week, and even month after month the hardest thing to do is to take an honest look at each individual bunny and decide who to keep and who to let go of. However, If you want excellent show stock and improve your breeding program, you have to make those difficult decisions. For New Zealands you want to keep good growth rates in your herd and you want to stick to... or exceed the standard of perfect set further by the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Today I'm taking a closer look at Mena's litter to see who to keep for future shows. Here at Grace Hollow Rabbitry I breed and show purebred New Zealand Rabbits. I run an ARBA registered rabbitry. I have Black, Blue, Broken, and Red New Zealands. I am a member of ARBA and AFNZRB.
