In episode 8 of our Expedition, we started the day literally taking the heart out of the Kombi. We removed the engine to perform preventative maintenance and ensure it was ready to return to the road. Before any beautiful scenery, there's work, care, and responsibility. After the mechanics, we gave the Kombi a general cleaning—because starting over also means organizing, adjusting, and preparing what is home to us. And then… we finally got back on the road. We headed towards the Canyons region, and what we found was something that will be forever etched in our memories: we camped in the middle of the clouds. This episode isn't just about scenery.
