East Midlands Airport and Aeropark October 1995

The airport is at Castle Donington in Leicestershire. It's about 20 miles from Leicester city centre, 15 miles from both Derby and Nottingham. It was opened by the Duke of Edinburgh on July 21st 1965. The Aeropark is on the eastern edge of the airfield. As well as swings and climbing frames for children to play on, it includes a collection of preserved aircraft. It also provides a viewing area to watch the planes arrive and depart the airport.
