『馬鹿野郎!』銀河の機長が止めた特攻

Please consider supporting this channel through membership:    / @heiwafilm   Mr. Nobuo Kuramoto, age 99 (at the time of this interview in 2025). At age 16, he volunteered for Yokaren (Naval Air Preparatory Flight Training) and trained for approximately 2 years and 3 months as an aerial observer. Then, in May 1945, he received orders to deploy and departed from Kanoya. Aboard the Ginga bomber he had trained with, he and his fellow crew members headed toward a kamikaze mission... It is said that Japanese military operations at the time were often known in advance to the United States, and during Mr. Kuramoto's deployment, American aircraft were also tracking their plane. You can watch the video featuring Mr. Toriya, a former Army Special Attack Unit member, here:    • 「目を開けたまま突っ込め」特攻隊員に下された通達   Mr. Kuramoto also showed us a short sword that had been presented to him before departure by Admiral Soemu Toyoda, Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet. He also explains the dangers involved in disposing of bombs that were no longer needed after the attack was called off, sharing tense and memorable episodes from that time. Please watch until the end. *Thank you, as always, for watching. If you notice any errors in the subtitles, we would appreciate it if you could let us know in the comments. We also kindly ask viewers to leave respectful and supportive comments for the storytellers who share these valuable experiences.
