At this stage of prep, she hits at least two workouts per day, but no more than three. As the competition day draws closer, she wonders if she’s got anything left to give as her energy levels decline. But she’s a champ for a reason - she digs deep, always looking for that extra 10% that she can give, regardless of how tired she feels! What helps her keep going is remembering that there’s a delicious apple pie waiting for her after show day! 🍰 All that hard work isn’t without equal recovery, though. Two to three times per week, Andrea goes in for serious muscle therapy, with each session lasting three hours! She’s got a lot of muscle to work through, after all, and it’s important for keeping her on her A-game. The goal with each session is to boost blood flow to prevent muscle knots and adhesions, keeping her mobile and fluid for her workouts and posing. When asked why she goes through with all of this despite how painful and tiring it gets, her answer is pretty simple. She wants to be able to look back ten years from now and feel proud of herself!
