Crimson Mercy - Fix Your Eyes

Fix Your Eyes is a call to run the race set before us with a gaze that refuses to drift. Hebrews 12:1–4 does not soften the struggle; it names it. We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, so we throw off every weight and every sin that clings so tightly. We run with endurance because Christ Himself endured the cross. This song is built on that command. Fix your eyes on Jesus — not on the chaos, not on the wounds, not on the exhaustion. He is the author and perfecter of faith. He endured hostility from sinners, He bore the shame, and He did not turn back. When you listen, let the weight fall off. Let the noise fade. Let the sin not entangle. Let the Word cut through everything that competes for your attention. Fix your eyes on the One who ran before you, who suffered for you, who strengthens you to endure. This is the race. This is the call from the writer of that passage. So, fix your eyes. Blessings to you all brethren! Lyrics: Lay aside every weight—anything slowing your pace, And throw off the sin that clings so closely to your race. The course is set before you; it’s marked, not guessed, So run with endurance, don’t settle for less. Let nothing entangle, let nothing confine, Fix your eyes on Jesus as you stay on the line. Look to Jesus—the founder and perfecter of your faith, Who endured the cross for the joy set before Him without escape. He despised the shame, He bore the pain, And now He sits at God’s right hand. So run— Through the pull, through the pressure, through the rising fear. Run— With your eyes locked on the One you must consider. When hostility surrounds and the struggle feels sore, Consider His endurance and press on more. Do not grow weary, do not lose heart— He resisted it to the point of shedding blood, You can endure your part. Remember the great cloud of witnesses around, Testifying that endurance is the path that’s sound. Their lives declare the finish line is worth the fight, That running with faith keeps you in the light. And when you face hostility from sinners again, Remember—you’ve not resisted sin like Him, Not to the point where blood was shed, Not like the Savior who suffered in your stead. Lay aside the weights—do not let them stay, Cast off the sin—do not let it sway. His suffering shows the truest form— Endure, endure, endure and stay firm. When pressure rises and demands more, Consider Him who endured more. Fix your eyes… Fix your eyes… On Jesus, who endured it all.
