ceramic animal sculpture // owls, toads, and fish - oh my!!

In this video, lam working on several smaller animal sculptures in the wake of taking a figurative ceramic class on the topic. I start off by making some sleepy owls for a candle holder- inspired by some resident Western Screech Owls. Then, I move on to making a Sonoran Desert Toad jar with a little baby toad on it's back :) I wrap up the video with a study of Pisces by creating a fish inspired incense burner before moving on to a Taurus study at the very end. I had a great time designing and creating these pieces and am looking forward to showing them glazed in the following videos. For my clay nerds, I am using a cone 5 BMIX ceramic clay for these projects and use various hand building techniques such as pinch pots & slabs.
