Boston North Station AM Rush Hour, upstairs and downstairs. 5/1/26
On this sunny and chilly morning, I captured part of the busy AM Rush at North Station in Boston, once a Boston and Maine Railroad hub. We see trains coming from all points of the compass north of the city including an Amtrak Downeaster from Brunswick, Maine. All MBTA commuter trains are led by Bilevel cab cars nowadays or Control Trailer Coaches in MBTA parlance. it was nice to see one of those Amtrak F40 “Cabbages”. Naturally seeing mostly classic EMD power on the commutes made the visit extra special. We conclude with some Orange and Green Line action at North Station and the busy Park Street station.
