Queenstown to Milford Sound — Land of a Thousand Waterfalls 🇳🇿
Today we embark on a journey to Milford Sound, the wettest location in New Zealand, and one of the wettest places on Earth, receiving over 6,400mm (252 inches) of average annual rainfall. On a signature rainy day, we embarked on the 4 hour drive from where we were staying in Queenstown, taking in the mystical ambiance of Fiordland National Park as we traverse jagged peaks shrouded in fog and arrive at what is a true marvel of nature. The Milford Sound tour is one of the more popular tourist activities in South Island, New Zealand, but nevertheless it does not disappoint and is a must visit for any travellers in this corner of the country.
