Red Rock River Camp Adventure 2022 The Way Home DAY 10 of my 10-day trip Trip Dates: 27 May 2022 - 6 June 2022 Videography & editing by Nico Schlebusch Orange River: Red Rock River Camp, Onseepkans Mission, settlement, Northern Cape, South Africa In May 2022 I went to visit my friends, Roche’ and Adelaine Schoeman at Red Rock River Camp, an activity based eco-campsite situated on the banks of the Orange River, Onseepkans Settlement. I was woken up by some Baboons having an argument just before 6am on my last morning. Without any rush I packed up everything after an amazing breakfast prepared by Adelaine. The journey back home was much quicker seeing that I didn't have to go back to Bredasdorp. Just to see my wife and daughter again was amazing. The RED ROCK RIVER CAMP is an activity based eco campsite, situated on the banks of the Orange River, Onseepkans Settlement. Onseepkans is part of the Khai Ma district, you enter the settlement by passing through a quiver tree forest. Red Rock River Camp is an ECO CAMPSITE, and the very first off grid, environmentally friendly campsite on the banks of the Orange River. The campsite offers lush green lawns with big shady trees, boma fire pits, braai (Barbeque) facilities, a communal kitchen, hot showers both indoors & outdoors and clean ablutions for ladies & gents. They have direct access to the river and are also pet friendly. Further more, Red Rock River Camp offers various activities from their campsite, including hiking trails guided by a local experienced field guide, day river rafting trips downstream to the Spanish foundation (aka "the mission") with a river guide, birdwatching river tours on the famous fish eagle section or day fly-fishing drift experiences.
