The story of Eva Cassidy has got to be one of the most bittersweet stories in the music industry. I have yet to see anyone hear her voice for the first time without having some kind of outwardly emotional reaction. This song was written with much love and respect for this amazing woman. I tried to capture the tenderness, soul, and texture of her voice while imagining how she might feel about the millions of fans who discovered her gift after she left this fallen world. Hopefully, it is received in the spirit in which it was written. This is an original tribute song and not an Eva Cassidy recording.
