Marine transport on Lake Victoria - New MV Mwanza ship to carry 1200 passengers, 400 tons of cargo.
A mega vessel under construction in the port city Mwanza in Tanzania is expected to improve the movement of cargo and passengers between Mwanza and Port bell in Kampala. The multi-million-dollar ship with a passenger capacity of 1200 and 400 tons of cargo will be ready to sail in the second half of 2023. Worldwide, water transport is one of the most affordable means for carrying bulk cargo.
