Did you complete the Voluntary Military Service (DZSW)? Did you find a position? Did you pass the qualifications, the physical examination, and the psychologist? And you're still waiting? It's no coincidence. The Ministry of National Defense explicitly admits that completing the DZSW doesn't automatically entitle you to be called up for professional military service. In this video, I discuss why the army has vacancies yet doesn't accept volunteers. Why quotas block admissions. Why the DZSW is primarily a tool for building reserves, not a guaranteed path to professional service. And why many volunteers may be used as reserves instead of getting the position they worked hard to earn. This is another systemic dysfunction: the army trains a person for months, commanders recommend them, and then someone else may get the position instead, by chance, or by "a better deal." If someone at the Military Service Center (WCR) tells you that after the DZSW program you'll definitely become a professional soldier, they're not telling you the whole truth. You either will or you won't. If they say there are positions available, it doesn't mean the quotas have been released.
