TV Spokesperson - Sukabumi - Three draft regional regulations (Raperda) initiated by the Sukabumi Regency Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) are now entering the drafting stage after undergoing a series of discussions, factional views, and responses from the Regent at the Sukabumi Regency DPRD Plenary Meeting. The three Draft Regional Regulations include the Draft Regional Regulation on Villages, the Draft Regional Regulation on Women's Empowerment and Protection, and the Draft Regional Regulation on the Prevention and Improvement of Slum Housing and Slum Settlements. Following the 7th Plenary Meeting of the Sukabumi Regency DPRD held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the Speaker of the Sukabumi Regency DPRD, BUDI AZHAR MUTAWALI, requested that all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) directly involved in the discussion to actively attend every stage of the Draft Regional Regulation drafting. According to Budi, the presence of agency heads is crucial for the deliberation process to run effectively, on target, and produce regulations that truly address community needs. The Speaker of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) explained that the DPRD's Deliberative Body has set a deadline for completion and appointed council officials responsible for deliberating the three Draft Regional Regulations. He hopes all parties involved will commit to participating in each stage of the deliberations so that the set completion targets can be achieved on schedule. Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of Sukabumi, Andreas, expressed his support for the DPRD's move to expedite deliberation of the three strategic Draft Regional Regulations. The Sukabumi Regency Government, Andreas stated, will require every regional apparatus invited to participate in the discussions to attend in person so that the policy formulation process can proceed more optimally and comprehensively. These three Draft Regional Regulations are considered to have a strategic impact on regional development, ranging from strengthening village governance, protecting women's rights, to addressing housing and slum areas to improve the quality of life for the people of Sukabumi Regency.
