Vintage Steam Train to Queenscliff 1967
Vintage Train to Queenscliff 1967. with Steam locomotive R749 from Flinders Street station Melbourne to South Geelong with a K class steam locomotive from Geelong to Queenscliff on the branch line.. There was no turntable at Queenscliff at that time. Return to Geelong was with the K class funnel first with a photo stop at Drysdale for passengers. At Queenscliff we see the beach and ships with the P&O Himalaya passing and the former pilot ship Wyuna returning after taking a pilot out to the Himalaya to assist with navigation on the run up Port Phillip Bay to Port Melbourne. - by reidgck
