In this workshop, Jeremy will share his journey from software sales to writing programs at Microsoft. In addition, we'll cover how to explore resources for building new skills, translating your current skills to your dream job, and how to tell your story to highlight your experiences. Jeremy founded Rise Career Development to help make resume building simple and the interviewing process easier, and is currently a Data Analyst at Microsoft. He received his BA in Psychology from Columbia University (CC'14, CUFB '14). Jeremy began his career in business development and sales at multiple social media marketing companies. He later went on to work in fashion at Elie Tahari as a marketing associate where he focused on search engine and email marketing. Following Elie Tahari, he entered the world of AdTech and joined Yieldbot, a keyword intent driven ad exchange as a Platform Strategist. There he worked with brands like Heinz Ketchup to develop strategies to make them more efficient in how they spend their advertising budgets. Following Yieldbot, he joined GroundTruth, an adtech company that uses location data to decide when and how to serve ads based on user visitation habits. After GroundTruth, he joined Integral Ad Science (IAS), a viewability and ad fraud tech company where he focused on data pipeline automation. Following his time at IAS, he joined Microsoft as a Data Analyst working on Windows. As an undergraduate, Jeremy worked with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation to improve the quality of life for children and their families who are battling brain tumors. Since graduation Jeremy has worked with programs such as Local Civics to help kids explore careers in tech.
