How to manage feline acne on cat's chin | Sunny visits VET

At first, I noticed black spots and bumps under Sunny’s chin and thought it might be dirt or fleas. To be safe, we took him to the vet for a check-up. The vet checked his chin, shaved the area so it could be seen more clearly, cleaned the blocked spots, and gave Sunny an antibiotic and steroid injection. Sunny stayed so calm — no crying, no drama, just quiet judgement. Two weeks later, Sunny went back for another antibiotic shot. At home, we now gently clean his chin with a soft cotton pad dampened with warm water, and we changed his bowl to a flat stainless-steel plate so his chin does not rub against the bowl edge. The vet explained that feline chin acne can happen for different reasons. It may be linked to oil build-up, bacteria, irritation, food residue, sensitivity, or other skin factors. It may not always be fully cured, but it can often be managed and prevented with good care. 🐾 This is only Sunny’s experience, not medical advice. Please check with your own vet if your cat has similar symptoms. #catchinacne #felineacne #vetvisit #gingercat #catcare #cathealth #Sunnythecat #cutecat #petcare
