【西穂高】過酷なラッセル登山｜上高地から挑む厳冬の西穂独標

A full-scale mountaineering documentary brought to you by a mountain-loving office worker couple. They share the spectacular views and trail atmosphere of Japan's mountains. This time, they set out to the Hotaka mountain range in the Northern Alps in the dead of winter. Their destination was Nishihotaka's Dokubetsu, a popular destination for winter Alpine climbing. Dokubetsu itself can be easily reached by ropeway, but this time they chose not to use the ropeway and instead climbed from the Kamikochi side at the foot of the mountain. In winter, the route is rarely trespassed by people, leaving no traces and requiring them to dig through knee-deep snow. Will they be able to complete the grueling snow-breaking climb?
