🎬 10 THINGS I DIDN'T ANTICIPATE WHEN DOING ELECTRICAL WORKS ⚡ AT HOME Anyone building a house knows that electrical installation can surprise even the most prepared. In this episode, I'll show you 10 things I had to fix or forgot about, even though everything seemed well planned. 👉 I'll talk about, among other things: 1️⃣ The lack of an emergency power system – I didn't plan for a switch between the generator and the power bank, which would allow me to easily switch the house to emergency power mode. 2️⃣ The lack of power on the terrace – I didn't plan for outlets or power points for radiant heaters or roof lighting. 3️⃣ Insufficient exterior lighting – there were no lamps on the sides of the house, which meant that cables had to be added to the facade. 4️⃣ Too few air conditioning units – I only planned for one air conditioner, and that wasn't enough for the attic. Now, cables will have to be run throughout the entire house. 5️⃣ Lack of cabling for outdoor cameras – I had to run the cables myself through the facade and attic. 6️⃣ Lack of a Wi-Fi point in the garden – very necessary for modern lawnmowers, smart home systems, and outdoor cameras. 7️⃣ Lack of suitable access for fiber optic cables – I had to dig through the plot and drill in the basement because I hadn't planned for the cable route. 8️⃣ Lack of cables for the rainwater tank and sprinkler controller – again, I had to break down the walls and run new cables. 9️⃣ Lack of preparation for photovoltaics and energy storage – the lack of conduits and cables for the distribution board makes future installation difficult. 🔟 No central network switchboard (LAN) – I didn't plan for a separate area in the house where all the Ethernet cables would converge. Everything ended up in the attic – it's hot in the summer, very cold in the winter, and it's difficult to install an aesthetically pleasing box and keep the wiring tidy. This video isn't just a list of mistakes, but a practical lesson for anyone planning their electrical system.
