Adipocytes in the tumor microenvironment: an emerging target for melanoma treatment
In this interview, Richard White, MD, PhD, from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, NY, discusses the aims of his research, particularly in determining factors in the tumor environment that lead to the metastatic invasion of melanoma cells. Dr White speaks at the 2018 National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Cancer Conference, held in Glasgow, UK, indicating a role for adipocytes in the metastatic invasion of melanoma. Dr White further explores the possibility of targeting tumor cell metabolism in the future.
