Mega Man 1 - Elec Man Stage (No Damage) (Buster Only)
Boss Stage Elec Man's stage appears to take place inside a tall electrical tower. It is primarily a vertical stage and features a lot of ladder climbing, but this also means players can fall down and lose a lot of progress. As such, it can be a tricky stage to get through without taking damage. The stage also has some split paths later on, which have converging points blocked off by Guts Blocks. Unique to this stage are blocks that generate electricity sideways in a set pattern, acting as a simple timing challenge that get more difficult when they guard ladders. They also appear in the boss hallway, which is the only one that goes upwards and happens to be brighter than the rest of the stage. There are also some Appearing Blocks in the two rooms after the first sets of Watchers. Boss Info Elec Man (エレキマン, Erekiman) is a Light Number who debuted in the first Mega Man game. He was created by Dr. Light to manage the voltage from nuclear power plants. For this task, Dr. Light made Elec Man with a responsible personality and as fast as possible, both mentally and physically, to be ready for any possible situation. He also installed an electric pulse generating mechanism that allows Elec Man to control devices from a safe distance when he has enough energy from his working environment. A few months after his creation, Elec Man was modified by Dr. Wily to help him conquer the world. Elec Man's Special Weapon is the Thunder Beam, which fires devastating bolts of very high-voltage electrical energy from his fingers in multiple directions, and the electric beams are powerful enough to go through multiple enemies with one shot and even break through solid rocks. At the time of his creation, Elec Man was Dr. Light's most advanced industrial robot, not counting Mega Man, with razor-sharp judgement, powerful electric attacks and great agility, which would not be matched until the creation of Quick Man, who is in turn based on his design. Weakness Rolling Cutter Attack Damage 4 (Contact) 10 (Thunder Beam) Strategy Elec Man’s room has 2 Guts Blocks on the left, though you will start the fight in the middle. Elec Man will run back and forth across the room at a high speed. He has 3 points where he will stop, and upon reaching those points he will raise his hands to shoot a powerful Thunder Beam forward. The attack has a big hitbox, does a whopping 10 damage, and can also hit Mega Man if he’s standing on the blocks. Elec Man also takes knockback from attacks, a trait shared with Cut Man, and can be interrupted from attacking if the player times their shot correctly. Shooting while he’s running will make him jump forwards or backwards, and shooting again will make him attack mid-air. He can also jump onto the blocks if he runs up against them. As such, Elec Man can obliterate blind players in seconds, but his knockback makes it easy to stop him from ever attacking. Valuable pickups to look out for Magnet Beam: The game's utility, which can only be found in this stage. Although it looks optional, it is MANDATORY to beat the game. Being blocked off by Guts Blocks, the player has to use Super Arm (or Thunder Beam if they revisit the stage) to clear out the blocks and get this pickup.
