At least with the frameset in the flashy “gloss rebel pink tint” you'll be the eye-catcher on the next trail. What were we thinking with this project? A lightweight MTB with solid components that you can have fun with for a long time and enjoy a wide variety of rides. The Specialized Chisel frameset in this pink absolutely polarized us. What do you think - strong color or a touch too much? The Shimano SLX parts may not be the lightest, but they can take a lot of punishment with consistently good performance. The Mavic Crossmax wheels are a good mix of stability and lightness and offer secure traction with Schwalbe Nobby Nics. We chose the RockShox Psylo Gold suspension fork to match the RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock.
