One of the primary advantages for using a four finger approach is the ability to pluck multiple strings in-between fingerpicking. This can be a nice alternative to strumming. In the lesson video, I will demonstrate the difference in sound than can be achieved by using each method. A real world example of this can be applied to our arrangement for Canon in D. Melody 2 begins interchanging between strumming chords and fingerpicking. You can create a different “feel” for the piece by incorporating the plucking of chords instead of strumming. Give it a shot!
