EPISODE 487: MY GRANDPARENTS WERE CAPTURED BY A SORCERER || The story of a shaman in Vinh Long is a story sent by a viewer named Tran Giac Ngo, born in the early 2000s in Tra Vinh. What's special is that Giac Ngo was born with many physical defects, from legs without knees, loss of smell to problems with teeth and voice. He went through a childhood full of self-consciousness in the face of gossip from people, when they wondered why his parents who practiced Buddhism, ate vegetarian food and chanted Buddha's name gave birth to such a child. However, in that situation, Giac Ngo became a witness to inexplicable spiritual events in his own family. According to him, his family are devout Buddhists of the Pure Land Lay Buddhist sect, whose main job is to find and cut traditional medicine to cure and save people. His father is not only a father, but also a teacher who can cure diseases using spirituality combined with traditional medicine without taking money from anyone. His mother also has spiritual abilities, often having an aunt in her family who died when she was young "possess her body" to warn or instruct her about things in the house. The story begins to become dramatic when Giac Ngo witnesses his father helping to "open the roots" of a neighbor named Linh, who calls Ngo "Uncle". This girl suddenly changes her personality, does not want to be close to her husband and children, and often goes to the kitchen to eat at night. Giac Ngo's father discovered that Linh's body was borrowed by many ghosts of people in the same neighborhood for many generations to eat and drink. After being helped that time, Linh also had her spiritual abilities opened, and she can see things that the naked eye cannot see. But the climax of the excitement, according to Giac Ngo, was the "silent magic battle" with his own relative. His youngest grandmother suffered from a chronic illness that his father could not cure. The horrifying truth was revealed when they discovered that the source of the illness as well as the problems that arose were related to a relative in the family. When he learned about the story, his father, although admitting that he had no magical ability, was still determined to save his grandparents. It was an invisible and tense battle, and thanks to the help of the gods and Linh's ability to see, his family successfully rescued the unfortunate souls. Not only witnessing the family's stories, Giac Ngo himself also had his own spiritual experiences when he went to university. He recounted the encounter with his roommate's "copy" in the dormitory, or the lessons of "instant cause and effect" that were incredibly applicable, such as casually taking a pencil and immediately losing his new one that afternoon. What really made Nguyen ponder after reading Giac Ngo's story was not only the mysterious spiritual elements, but also his journey to overcome his fate. From a child born with disabilities like others, lacking self-esteem, he gradually found his own value and believed that everything that happened had its reasons.
