Bush craft in the stone age appears to be surprisingly similar to modern times. The ideas they had back then reflect the same kind of philosophies of ultra light gear that we see in modern times. At least, that is the conclusion I draw when I look at Ötzi the Ice Man and the analysis they have done on his remains.
