Her overall look was truly something to behold, it was as if she had the look of a 2000’s era pop star and a body any action star of the time would envy. I’m specifically talking about her appearance at the 2006 NPC USA championships. Head over to muscle women’s youtube channel and check it out. She looks insane in these backstage pump room videos. Look at this guy in the background, his eyes are popping out of his head. What’s even more unbelievable is this appearance of hers was only good enough for 7th place! So not even top 5! My only thought is that the competition was just too fierce in the heavyweight division. I mean you take a look at the top 2, with Heather Armbrust winning first and overall, and Michele Neil, who is a Doctor by the way, winning 2nd, so I guess when you take that into account it’s more understandable. Look at that, a pastor and a doctor hanging out backstage taking photos of each other flexing. You don’t see that every day! So yeah you can see Pastor Candy pictured here with Doctor Michelle Neil, and when you see them side by side it looks like Candy’s legs didn’t have quite as much size, which might have hurt her placing. So if the size wasn’t there to begin with then forget about it when it comes to separation and conditioning in the quads, hams, and calves, because Heather Armbrust was in her prime here and she had some of the diceyest legs of that whole era, side note Heather is still in great shape, and you can find her on IG if you’re feeling bold or adventurous. But out of all these ladies, I guess I’d have to say that Candy was just more my type. I have to admit I’m a sucker for the pretty ones, regardless if they aren’t the most conditioned on stage. I think Heather, Michelle and the rest of the top 6 brought a much harder and rugged look while Candy did an incredible job of showcasing a beautiful and feminine look. And when you combine that with her monstrous shoulders, traps, and chest…..woo!
