For the past few weeks, Portugal has been battered by one severe storm after another, bringing wind gusts of up to 200 km/h to the mainland. For two months, there has been virtually no sunshine and an incredible amount of rain across the country. These extreme weather events, which seem to be constantly intensifying, make life in the Outback incredibly difficult and exhausting. While hundreds of thousands of households nationwide are without power, it is once again becoming clear how important it is to have an off-grid electricity and water supply.
