How To Create a SMS Chatbot with Manychat (No Coding Required)

If you want more videos on how to create chatbots, please subscribe to my channel👇    / @chatimize   ---- Connect ManyChat to Twilio Once you are logged in to ManyChat, we need to connect ManyChat to Twilio. So if you go to Settings and then click on SMS, here you need to click on Connect. And then as it shows here, we need to connect our ManyChat account to Twilio. And Twilio is a software company that allows you to send and receive text messages all over the world. And they are really good at this, while also having one of the lowest prices per text message. If you don’t have a Twilio account yet, you can just go to twilio.com and click on Sign up. I already have an account with Twilio, so I will just log in. And also for this video, I will just use a trial account. So when you sign up for Twilio, you automatically get a trial account with $15 in balance. And you can use that account to test out these kinds of integrations. And if you like it, then you can go with a paid account later on. The next step is to actually get a phone number from Twilio. And when you are using a trial account and you don’t have a phone number yet, then a button appears here and then you can request a phone number. There's also something that I already did, so I already have a phone number here. And what's also really important is that if you have a trial account number, only certain phone numbers that can text that number. These are called verified phone numbers. So you need to click on this and then you need to add your own phone number to this so that you can text that number and Twilio will actually handle messages coming from that number. So here I have my account SID, my authorization token and my Twilio account number, and that is everything we need to connect it to ManyChat. So I will just copy these one-by-one and paste those inside ManyChat. Click on Connect. And now we have successfully connected ManyChat to Twilio. ---- Create a registration flow and sequence In the rest of the video, I show you how you can set up a registration flow for a SMS chatbot and then automatically send messages over the course of 5 days. In the registration flow, we use the "Subscribe to Sequence" element, that will activate the sequence.
