Red Line Extension Groundbreaking April 24, 2026
Hundreds turned out to witness the CTA break ground on the transformational Red Line Extension project in April 2026. It was held at the future site of the Michigan Avenue Red Line Station on the Far South Side. This is not just a construction project.
